Hello fellow walkers!
My awesome walking partner, Nikki, inspired me to do something this morning that I have been trying to do for years.
Get up early and workout!
I am not a morning person and very much enjoy my sleep, so it was tough to do! I always workout in the evenings but have always tried to talk myself into becoming a "morning workout" person. Nikki has been getting up early to walk a bit in the morning, so I finally did the same today. Hopefully I will continue doing it, even after our walk is over! This event has already led to some great experiences so far...I can't wait for the 3-Day to start! I am very much looking forward to walking as a team!
We've got our big 12 miles on Saturday! This will be the farthest distance for me to walk for this event and I hope the weather cooperates with us! I ended up walking in the rain again on Saturday, without the bags on my feet this time. It's much easier to walk without the bags...I am not sure that they did much good anyway. My feet are going to sweat in the bags (and get wet) anyway, so I figure I might as well not wear them to avoid sliding around in my shoes. It was nice actually, but whenever I was stationary my feet would itch like crazy from the moisture! So let's hope for dry feet and no rain during our 3-Day!!

we're going to make mornings a habit! I cannot wait to walk with you on Saturday... I want to make that habit too! haha. I do much better on these long walks with a partner. Congrats on your progress! Way to go Besties, we're doing great!
it's so much easier to get the walking done before the day gets away from you. nice job, ladies!
